I don’t know about you, but occasionally I struggle with procrastination.

Yep, it’s probably just me.

A few years ago, I received a great piece of advice that helps me in those moments.

We ask ourselves, how do we feel when we’ve checked something off a list and get it done?

We feel great, right?

How do we feel when we’re not getting done what we need to get done?

Miserable.

Now, here’s the question you ask yourself when you have that anxiety over whether you do something now or later, “When do I want to feel good? Now or later?”

Get yourself feeling the sense of accomplishment in the moment and compare that to the anxiety you feel if not doing the things you need to do.

“When do I want to feel good?”

In selling, there’s a lot of things that we need to do that we tend to put off. You know what they are.

Next time, remind yourself: procrastination is just delayed gratification.
